The usual crew – no visitors 🙁 . I need to start cooking earlier because the babies want to eat early. I would like to have a few ready for them when they start yelling. So Blueberry pancakes…we used a major brand complete pancake mix and a can of blueberries. They were OK but nothing special. We did not have blueberry syrup; we used just a little maple syrup because the pancakes were pretty sweet already. They made good snacking throughout the day.

I have to admit to being a little disappointed in you. Canned blueberries? Fresh is always best, but frozen run a very close second. BTW – when using frozen (or even canned) toss the blueberries with the dry ingredients first to coat them. This keeps your batter from turning blue.
If I thought of frozen blueberries I might have used them but I will probably not use fresh often because I don’t want to pick stems off them. Keep in mind Syrup Saturday constant #4. I like the tossing in the dry ingredients thing.
Good stuff !! Keep it coming, but MY BATTER WAS NOT BLUE.
